I’ve been working as a graphic designer for the past 18 years, and I feel truly grateful that many of the projects I’ve received have come through referrals from past clients. Their trust and the connections that have grown from it mean a great deal to me, and I sincerely appreciate every opportunity and relationship that has come my way.
There was a time when I found myself struggling with design ideas, and I decided to step away for a moment and spend time in nature—visiting the mountains and the sea. During those moments, I became deeply inspired by the beauty of natural forms and rhythms. The shapes and patterns in nature often feel so harmonious and precise that they seem almost mathematically designed.
Since then, I have naturally begun incorporating the proportions and balance found in nature into my own work.
Clients sometimes share that my designs create a sense of comfort and clarity. Some have even told me that after changing their logo, their company seemed to move more naturally toward the direction they had always envisioned.
Through these experiences, I’ve come to realize that beyond proportions and visual beauty, the most important element in design is the intention behind it. I believe a logo can carry not only visual meaning but also the thoughts, aspirations, and energy of the people it represents.
For this reason, before beginning a project, I take time to carefully listen to my clients—their ideas, goals, and the future they hope to create—so that these intentions can be thoughtfully reflected in the design.
I continue to explore the beauty of natural proportions such as the golden ratio, while creating original designs that carry both meaning and intention.
Warm regards,
MARIKO
